In each course you are guided through the topics by reference to textbooks and given supporting explanations, descriptions, and diagrams. Homeopathy
The educational programme progresses through four levels:
Taster Course
If you are interested in homeopathy but not yet sure if it is for you or if you want to sample the quality of our material, then you can nibble at the first two units of our Foundation Course through our home study Taster Course.
Year one : Foundation Course
If you like the idea of studying homeopathy but are not yet sure that you want to go into practice, then you can enrol on our Foundation Course.
Year two : Introduction into Practice Course
If you want to learn more about case work and are inspired to become a homeopathic practitioner then you can carry on into the Introduction into Practice Course.
Years three & four : Practitioner Diploma Course
If you wish to become a professional, then after you have completed the Foundation Course and Introduction into Practice Course, you carry on into the Practitioner Diploma Course - one leads seamlessly into the next.

Nutrition:
aim of the course
This course is ideal for anyone wishing to gain a sound knowledge of nutrition. Foods and their effects on health are something that affects us all, and this course gives a great foundation into this growing area of interest. The course explains the principles of nutrition and gives up-to-date guidance on its application. It provides a good understanding of the scientific basis of nutrition.
Content overview
The study of the content of foods and the nutritional requirements for optimum functioning of the body. How different foods and specific nutrients influence our health, and what is required nutritionally to achieve optimum health.
Sections on: Nutrition for alternative practitioners. The macronutrients: carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Water and the micronutrients: Minerals and vitamins. Elimination, bowel flora and health. Detox diets. Vegetarian and vegan diets. Food combining. Allergies, chemical residues and additives. Vitamin and mineral supplementation. The composition of a healthy diet.

Anatomy & Physiology:
aim of the course
To learn how the body works as a whole, as well as individual systems. The objective is to give the necessary knowledge and understanding of this subject in order to best support and complement an alternative therapy practice. The intent is to understand how each system works and connects with others rather than to learn it all by heart.
content overview
Organisation of the body into cells, tissues, organs and systems; cell division and growth; blood; nutrition; homeostasis; defence mechanisms against disease; skin; reception of stimuli by the eye and the ear and reproduction.
On completing this course you will be able to identify, locate and describe the main components and functions of the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, urogenital system, endocrine system, musculoskeletal system, and nervous system; and you will know how to study any of these aspects in greater depth if your clinical work requires it in the future.

Pathology & Disease:
aim of the course
To help you carry out your particular form of alternative practice with a more informed understanding of disease processes that leads to better and safer treatment of your patients. The emphasis is to reflect the alternative medical view alongside the orthodox. The terms and material learnt also help to bridge the gap in communication between patients and other practitioners.
content overview
The focus is on identification of symptoms, keys to recognising serious disease (where caution is needed), the use of diagnostic investigations, the components of specific disease states, and the management of these conditions, including the ability to communicate with orthodox medical practitioners.
The philosophy of pathology, study of basic pathological processes, common medical investigations, infectious disease, cancer, dermatology, special senses, obstetrics, gynaecology, children’s health, psychological disorders, and the bodies seven key systems.
