The London Art College specialises in providing tuition by Distance learning art courses (Home study art courses) and has an international reputation for excellence.
It was established in 1931 by a group of artists and has for many years specialised in providing art correspondence courses supported by artists / tutors who are selected both for their artistic and teaching skills.
The college believes that painting and drawing skills can be acquired by anyone - with proper tuition and practice. We offer a range of courses for home study. There is something for everyone from the complete beginner to the experienced artist.
The college has a background in commercial art and many of the courses reflect this. However, as many amateurs paint more for pleasure rather than profit, there are also a variety of fine art courses.
The college uses specialist tutors whenever the course content demands this and therefore has many experienced students, who find access to a professional invaluable.
We work with students to meet the special requirements of individual students.
We do not offer online tuition as the tutors feel it is vitally important to see the original work in order to give the best advice to the student. We have all experienced how 'flat and lifeless' a reproduction can seem against the original and this needs to be avoided in order for our students to gain the most benefit from our courses.
